The Robert L. Williams Public Library serves the City of Durant and all of Bryan County. The Library has more than 15,800 registered patrons and approximately 68,000 resources. The Library's collection contains genealogy information, books, large print books, various pamphelts, tax information, newspapers, magazines, videocassettes, DVD movies, audiocassettes, CDs, as well as materials for the blind.

The Robert L. Williams Public Library will provide an atmosphere conductive to lifelong learning, emphasizing entertainment reading on the juvenile and adult levels and providing access to information and resources for personal growth and development, cultural heritage, and business education.
Current Topics and Titles: The library will provide current titles and topics which will help fulfill community resident's appetite for information about popular cultural and social trends and which will meet their desire for satisfying recreational experiences.
Local History and Genealogy: The library will offer local history and genealogy services that address the patrons' desire for community heritage information.
Commons: The library will provide a commons environment that helps address the need of people to meet and interact with others in their community, and will participate in public discourse about community issues.
Business and Career Information: The library will provide information related to entrepreneurship, business, work, obtaining employment and choosing careers.
Consumer Information: The library will provide information for patrons of the library to make informed consumer decisions and to help them become more self-sufficient.

Throughout the years, the library has been well-supported by the community. Continued support from patrons will ensure a successful city library. Volunteers are always needed, contact the Library Director Alice Moore at (580)924.3486 for details. The many services offered by the Robert L. Williams Public Library may be used by obtaining a library card. Library Cards are available free of charge to residents of Bryan County.
