FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY (FOL)
Friends of the Library was chartered as a support group for the Robert L. Williams Public Library in 1987 and provides funding for additional
materials which are over and above the library's annual budget. By promoting community awareness and giving freely of their time, FOL is an
integral part of the library staff. Friends of the Library helps support the summer reading programs, hosts special meetings, mans the front desk
when library staff attends training sessions, conducts the Annual Book Fair, and promotes a monthly discussion group called Book Talk. This group
also takes books and audiotapes to nursing homes, maintains a book cart for sale books, and serves as a resource for the library staff when
requested. Friends of the Library is comprised of individuals, families, businesses and organizations who are devoted to the enhancement
of our city library. Contact Alice Moore at (580)924.3486 for membership information.
